Facing My Fear and Doing It Anyway
Hey there!
If you celebrate Christmas, then Happy Crimbo to you and yours. If you celebrate something other than Christmas, then I'm sorry that the rest of the world has gone slightly crazy for a couple of weeks. Hold tight - it'll all be over in a few days :-)
But whatever you celebrate, I'm sure you can associate with my dilemma last week of having to get home for a special occasion.
Despite averaging something like 19 flights a month last year, I'm still not the best flyer. And the nerves are directly linked to the size of the plane. So when a client offered to fly me on their (very small) private jet so that I could get home, I did what I had to do. I just had to graciously accept, take a deep breath and manage myself accordingly. Yep, the picture here shows just how gracious I was feeling! lol.
Here's a 2-minute video from Dallas Airport on how I managed myself through the stress. And as you're part of the in-crowd I'll let you in on a secret that I didn't make public - although I was flying home for the holidays, that was just circumstance. The real reason I HAD to get home that night was because my mum was having surgery in just a few days. (Just when you think she's handled every blow Breast Cancer could throw at her, something else crops up. She's come through like a trooper because she is, after all, #rockstarmum!)
I hope the video inspires you the next time you have to do something you really, really don't want to.
Honey, Blessings and Happy Crimbo to all of you who celebrate (and, again, apologies to everyone else).
Sarah xx
